Odorless smoke testing of pipes on city's mainlandSewer lines in neighborhoods and commercial areas are being tested for cracks and leaks using a process known as "smoke testing." Utilities will not be interrupted during the testing of the city’s nearly 36 miles of pipes in the service area. The smoke is odorless, non-toxic and non-staining. It will dissipate quickly and will not harm pets or plants or leave a residue. The substance is similar to products used at concerts and sporting events during performances. Crews will work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting, and are in easily recognizable uniforms. Residents in the service area have been notified of the smoke testing via informational door hangers, and can call (888) 645-9570 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. if they have questions. The testing is scheduled to be completed by Friday, March 24.

Aaron Lewis bringing 2023 Acoustic Tour to Peabody Auditorium in October Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, for Aaron Lewis who will be performing his 2023 Acoustic Tour at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Peabody Auditorium. Tickets will be available for purchase online. Ticket prices range from $49.75 - $79.75 plus applicable surcharges. Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country eight-tracks. Those roots inspired the multi-platinum Staind founder to return to his origins for the #1 Billboard Country Album debut, “Town Line and Sinner,” as well as Billboard’s #1 Hot Country Song debut, “Am I The Only One,” only the ninth time since 1958. Having recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill, Lewis has put a traditionalist brand on his outlier country. His latest album, “Frayed at Both Ends,” offers the hard-touring, 15 million selling, workingman’s country star at his most personal and unplugged – making for an intimate record that reflects his 2023 acoustic tour.
