Here’s what’s inside: The Daytona Beach Police Department launched a new behind-the-scenes documentary series, Academy 06, giving viewers a raw, unfiltered look into the intense training of new police recruits. The first episode is now available, with new episodes released monthly. Pet Owner Reminders Animal Services shared important reminders about pet safety, licensing and city ordinances to help keep animals safe. Help Shape Our Future – Take the Survey Take a nine-question survey to guide how federal CDBG and HOME grant funds are used in the community: Take the Survey In the Works- Fire Station No. 1: Structural work is progressing, with roof pours complete and framing underway.
- Beach Access Staircases: Reconstruction has started on 14 staircases and four ramps along the boardwalk.
- Daytona Beach Pier: Repairs are planned for the section from Breakers Oceanfront Park to Joe’s Crab Shack.
- Sunnyland Press Box Tower: Blockwork is nearly done; roof and interior framing begin next.
