Today’s City Manager’s Update newsletter features the following topics: 

Building Hope: Home Reconstruction Program
Four Daytona Beach property owners will soon move into brand-new homes through the city’s home rehab/reconstruction program. The initiative, funded with federal and state housing dollars, helps very low to moderate-income homeowners replace unsafe homes with safe, modern residences. Construction is underway at 622 Marion Street, with additional projects at North Keech, Garden and Madison streets.

Capital Projects Update:

• Main Street Arch: New sign installed, with completion expected by the end of the month.
• Boardwalk Beach Access: Progress continues on ADA ramps and access stairs, with several milestones achieved.
• Sunnyland Press Box Tower: Structural work is complete; interior and exterior finishes are now underway.
• Cherry Cultural & Educational Center: A new generator has been installed, with testing scheduled for mid-September.
