Overview

The Midtown Recreation Complex features the Julia T. and Charles W. Cherry, Sr. Cultural & Educational Center, Cypress Aquatic Center and Cypress Park. 

Cherry Cultural & Educational Center

Opened 2012, the Julia T. and Charles W. Cherry, Sr. Cultural & Educational Center is a community center located centrally in Daytona Beach next to Cypress Park at 925 George W. Engram Blvd. This central hub allows residents to unite in creative and educational programs, and fitness activities. To view the programs that are offered at the Cherry Center, visit this page. For additional information, call the center at (386) 671-5540. The Cherry Cultural & Educational Center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. The outdoor basketball courts are open from sunrise to sunset.

Cypress Park

Cypress Park is located in the heart of Midtown on the corner of George W. Engram Boulevard and Nova Road. It features a walking trail, benches, green space and shaded areas. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
