This is done through a two-pronged approach:
Reactive: Conducted in areas where there are complaints of traffic-related issues
Proactive: Occurs in response to upticks in vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian issues
Combined with traffic crash data, these methods identify roadways and intersections with a high frequency of traffic crashes and violations.
How It Works
Once a particular area has been identified, officers aggressively address dangerous violations which contribute to traffic crashes.
Some of our more frequent moving violations are:
- Running red lights
- Speeding
- Careless driving
- Distracted driving
