The program involves offering grants and low-interest loans to help homeowners protect their homes from flood damage. The application portal is now open. This program aims to enhance community resilience by mitigating private residences against natural hazards. Elevate Florida will fund residential mitigation projects such as structure elevation, mitigation reconstruction and structure acquisition. What Does Elevate Florida Offer?
- Elevation: Physically raising an existing structure to protect against flooding
- Mitigation Reconstruction: Construction of an improved, elevated building where an existing building has been partially or completely demolished or destroyed
- Acquisition: A local community purchases a structure from voluntary sellers and the structure is demolished

- Insurance claims, receipts or cost estimates for previous repairs.
- Documentation of aesthetic alterations (e.g., roof replacement, window/door updates).
