The City of Daytona Beach will hold two public workshops to discuss the circumstances necessitating an increase in impact fees beyond the phase-in limitations outlined in Section 163.31801(6), Florida Statutes.
The informational sessions will provide an opportunity for residents, developers and stakeholders to learn more about the proposed changes and ask questions. No formal action will be taken during the meetings.

About impact fees: Impact fees are charges assessed on new construction to help fund the infrastructure and services necessary to support growth, such as roads, water and sewer systems, parks and emergency services. These fees are not charged to existing residents or businesses unless they choose to significantly improve their property.
