Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Daytona Beach at the Fourth of July Parade and Veterans Ceremony. Sponsored and presented by Zone 4 City Commissioner Stacy Cantu.
Veterans Ceremony
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, July 4, by the Clock Tower between the Boardwalk and the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, 100 N. Atlantic Ave. Hosted by Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 316, it will honor veterans and first responders.
Independence Day Parade
The parade begins at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4, on Main Street in Daytona Beach. Organized by Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 316 and the Military Officers Association of America, this year’s event will feature nearly 30 local military organizations, combat veterans, and members of the Daytona Beach Police and Fire departments.
The parade route starts at Atlantic Avenue and proceeds west along Main Street to the base of the Main Street Bridge. Spectators are encouraged to view the parade from the sidewalks along Main Street.
Road Closures
- Main Street, from Halifax Avenue to Atlantic Avenue, will close to traffic at 9 a.m.
- Halifax Avenue, Peninsula Drive and Atlantic Avenue will remain open until the parade reaches those intersections. At that time, intersections will close and north- and southbound traffic will be temporarily stopped to allow the parade to pass.
- Motorists should expect delays in the area.
Community groups, veteran organizations and local businesses are encouraged to participate in the parade.
