Opened 2009, Bethune Point Park is located along the Halifax River adjacent to the Halifax Harbor Marina and surrounding attractions and shops. The multi-purpose park boasts a wide variety of activities and amenities. It includes the first skateboard park in Daytona Beach. This five-acre complex offers the following:

- Picnic tables
- Pavilions
- Boat ramp
- Fishing pier
- Baseball fields
- Press boxes
- Skateboard park
- The Halifax Sailing Center is located immediately south of the pavilions.
New playground equipment was installed this year! The upgrades include a play structure for 5-12-year-olds, fresh landscaping, curbing, new seating walls, sidewalks and a cushioned rubber surface. The playground is now complete and open to the public from sunrise to sunset.
Additionally, new curbing and landscaping were added around the parking lot, and the skate park received a fresh paint job to enhance the overall look and feel of the area.
Bethune Skateboard Park
Using a combination of pre-cast concrete elements and poured-in-place concrete features, Daytona Beach has created a one-of-a-kind skate park and is one of the premier facilities in Florida.
Some of the unique features of this park include:
- Colossal precast concrete clam shell
- Precast, skateable art pieces such as the roll-over whip, broken pyramid and an extra-wide bent penny
- Precast bank textured with grooves for an innovative real-world skating experience
- Unique, in-ground bowl with pool-tile coping
The facility’s components will challenge skaters at any skill level and the park is also available for BMX bikers and inline skaters.
